FEW Kansai Meeting
April 23, 2020 (Online)

Cultural Intelligence in Our Interconnected World
with MaryAnne Jorgensen

Join us for FEW Kansai’s first online meeting, where we will use the Hofstede 6-D model to look at cultural norms and explore the forces that drive culture. The Hofstede model, based on the research of Geert Hofstede, is a framework that makes us aware of how we perceive different cultures (our cultural lens) and helps us develop new perspectives. As global citizens, we know that cultural intelligence is vital for building stronger relationships and getting things done across cultures. From this presentation you will learn how to read the cultural influences behind current events and, more importantly, how to increase your own cross-cultural effectiveness.

Speaker: MaryAnne is a facilitator and coach with a passion for guiding leaders and teams as they develop their strengths and create a culture of engagement. She has worked with professionals across Asia Pacific for more than twenty years, focusing on the importance of dialogue to unlock the potential of individuals, teams, and organizations. Mary Anne is certified in Intercultural Management with Hofstede Insights and is an accredited practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Lumina Spark. And she loves being president of FEW Kansai!
